All our camp and course facilities are located on the golf course resort itself.

We have 3 resorts:

Costa Ballena Club de Golf (Rota)

Costa Ballena Ocean Golf Club: Costa Ballena Golf is one of the best golf courses in Cadiz with 27 holes that enable you to enjoy up to 3 different courses, designed by José María Olazábal.

The driving range is one of the largest and best in Europe and is therefore the official training headquarters of different European National Golf Federations: Finland, Denmark, Iceland, the Czech Republic and Holland.

It has hosted prestigious competitions such as the Professional European Qualifying School Second Stage, which it has hosted since 2005.

The excellent 9-hole, 3-Par course boasts different tee-offs, including a Pitch & Putt course approved by the Royal Spanish Federation of Golf (RFEG), on which different National Circuit Tournaments have been held.

The Costa Ballena Resort is known by its marvellous beaches and its large population of palm trees.

The accommodation (Hotel Barceló Costa Ballena Golf & Spa****) is located on the resort itself, next to the golf course.

The hotel, 800 metres from the beach, is built in typical Andalusian and colonial style

The Costa Ballena has over 4 km of untouched beaches facing the Atlantic Ocean with protected sand dune areas.

Barceló Montecastillo Golf & Sport Resort (Jerez)

Montecastillo Barceló Golf Club: this magnificent 18-hole, 72-par golf course, designed by Jack Nicklaus, hosted the Volvo Masters for 5 consecutive years and the Peugeot Tour for 3.

It has a complete training area with a driving range, putting green and chipping green. All these facilities and services are set in a 160-hectare estate surrounded by native flora and fauna.

The hotel Barceló Montecastillo Golf*****, located on the golf course itself, is very much an icon in the Cadiz area thanks to the high standard of its facilities and the elegant and simple design that characterises it.

It has tennis courts, 4 padel courts with artificial turf, two football pitches with FIFA-approved international regulatory dimensions, a training pitch, a multi-sport court and a jogging track.

Sherry Golf (Jerez)

Designed by Stirling & Martin (Global Golf Company), it is presented as a course which is accessible to amateurs and challenging for professionals. Proof of this is demonstrated by the numerous high level tournaments that Sherry Golf Jerez has had the honour of hosting in its so-far short life, such as the Copa S.M. El Rey; the Copa S.M. La Reina; the International Seniors Championship (on two consecutive years); and the Volvo Amateur Masters. Furthermore, Sherry Golf Jerez was the official host between 2006 and 2009 of the PGA European Tour Qualifying School Second Stage.

The course is known for being one of the most balanced courses in Spain:

  • 18-hole course: 6572 metres, Par 72
  • 9-hole Pitch and Putt course (Par 3s): 911 metres, Par 27
  • Practice area

Sherry Golf follows the new design concepts of American courses: both fun and safe to play. A hilly course, but without steep slopes which make the game too difficult, and with well-positioned obstacles. The wide fairways and large greens, together with the strict requirements imposed by the PGA European Tour to be able to officially host its tournaments, afford Sherry Golf the status of luxury course. http://www.sherrygolf.com/

Next to the golf course is the accommodation, El Sabio Campus, a recently built international centre of studies and sports, the only one of its kind in Spain, which boasts high standard facilities, with a capacity for 300 people. It has a magnificent dining room, restaurant and modern kitchen, sports and leisure facilities, swimming pool, classrooms equipped with the latest technology, etc. The centre is especially designed to host national and international students.
